Katherine—known by many as Kat—is a passionate curl specialist who helps clients fall in love with their natural texture through personalized education and thoughtful care. With over five years in the industry and a focused dedication to curly and coily hair over the past three, Kat brings a nurturing and knowledgeable approach to every appointment.

A second-generation stylist, Kat was raised around the salon and originally saw hairdressing as a path to entrepreneurship. But over time, her purpose shifted. She found deeper meaning in the artistry of hair and the joy of uplifting an underserved community—helping clients feel confident and empowered through their curls.

Trained in methods from Cut It Kinky, Innersense, and Curlology, Kat excels at making clients feel safe, seen, and supported. Her goal isn’t just to give you a beautiful cut—it’s to help you understand your curls, build confidence in your routine, and leave with tools you can use beyond the salon.

Outside of work, Kat is a soulful, creative spirit who loves dancing, thrifting, and exploring new cities—ideally with a good playlist, delicious food, and a local bookstore nearby. She’s a chill music lover with a soft spot for neo soul, R&B, jazz, and Bossa Nova. Ask her about her thrifted outfit, her volunteer work, or her adoption story—they’re all close to her heart.

Fun fact: Kat has taken five solo trips, jumped out of a plane, and carries the name of her grandmother with pride.
