Studio Session: Oakleigh
Curated by Salon San Carlos, this styled shoot was an innovative collaboration between our in-house artists and a photographer. Using an array of backdrops in an indoor environment, we used a studio setting to explore new creative avenues. Through this, the team blended salon expertise with the artistic vision of our photographer to develop a collection of unique images that merged style and artistry.
ABOUT THE CONCEPT
We wanted to play into the softer, natural lighting that cascaded into the studio while shooting with Oakleigh. Each model brought a couple of different looks to the table throughout the shoot for a variety of content aesthetics. We took it a step further by changing out green and white backdrops and wardrobe to enhance the glow of the natural light.
ABOUT THE MODELS
Oakleigh’s hair was cut into a French-inspired bob with a short fringe. Wanting to add dimension to her existing hair color, we opted to incorporate subtle highlights throughout that worked nicely in the natural light of this studio setting.
