Study Session: Al
Al was one of the models for our “Bayou Adventures” styled outdoor shoot. In preparation, we invited them in for a cut and color session that would be showcased in the upcoming collaboration. We took this opportunity to get some clean studio shots that focused on the cut and color in a controlled and well-lit environment.
ABOUT THE CONCEPT
The concept was to highlight the color and cut on a clean, white background without any outside aesthetics and stylings to maintain a hyper focus on the artistry of the stylist to showcase a range of skills.
ABOUT THE MODEL
Al started with a grown-out mullet that we further refined and enhanced. The goal was to maintain an alternative shape with lots of texture. For color, we knew we wanted to lean into something both bright and bold to compliment their cut and style. We landed on a vibrant yellow color that paired well with the lush bayou setting.
